FLYING GOAT COFFEE

Flying Goat Coffee has been sourcing, roasting, and serving the world's best coffees for over 25 years. The San Francisco Bay-Area coffee company sells exceptional, directly-sourced coffees which are roasted daily and sold online or at one of their flagship locations.

The coffee was flourishing, and the brand matured, but the branding and packaging design was living in the past. We redesigned the brand identity and introduced a new package that reflected the founders' deeply rooted coffee expertise and the quality of what they do in all things coffee.

We partnered with the brand to launch a new packaging design system utilizing a more eco-friendly paperboard box made entirely out of recycled materials and inks. We designed a custom box structure which pairs with a flexible labeling system allowing the brand to use the same base box with different whole bean coffee labels as their offerings change throughout the year.

The box's interior is flooded with deep inviting navy blue, and the outer design is modern and bright. We developed a branded repeat pattern from individual geometric symbols that were designed to represent an array of different types of coffee and espresso beans.

Elevated Branding

Flying Goat Coffee currently operates 2 flagship locations around the Bay Area, and a 3rd satellite location they call "Baby Goat," serving grab-and-go coffee for the locals.

The brand values high quality and an elevated coffee experience. The logo redesign captures the "flying" nature of the brand's mission – to bring only the best elevated coffee experience to the Bay Area visually, through its floating coffee-inspired icon and simple typography. Our art direction for the product photography also takes a no fuss, high quality, coffee-done-right approach by keeping things simple with a little fun and color infused.
