Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen offers incredible versions of classic Jewish comfort food made with Californian ingredients. Founded in San Francisco’s Mission District, the company makes delicious deli fare that would make their bubbies proud.
We were tasked by the Bay Area brand with redesigning their retail food packaging for their expanding wholesale business. We established a fresh visual hierarchy system and clear communication on pack for retail shelves across the country.

We delivered an updated packaging design system for the Jewish comfort foods, such as their most authentic bagels, challah, coveted pastrami, and cream cheese for retail environments.
We executed a new deli illustration featuring one of the Wise Sons' physical shops, celebrating their Bay Area brick & mortar roots. The new illustration works seamlessly with the branding. We also designed a new set of core branded iconography and graphic callouts for retail packaging to help make shopping easier for customers.

To expand upon the brand's illustrations, we used our art direction to have a bagel smearing itself with cream cheese executed, bringing in more of the brand's humor.
Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen's fresh-baked breads, bagels, pastries and other treats from their kitchen are now available in a full assortment of retail packaging design for nationwide grocery stores. In addition, the brand has many brick and mortar locations, and continues to grow into new territories.
