Forever Cheese is an integral part of today's market, and the leading importer of artisan cheese and accompaniments from the Mediterranean. For over 25 years they have put passion behind incredible foods and their Mitica brand is a coveted nationwide household name.
We partnered with the brand on its strategic redesign to celebrate their 20th anniversary. We clarified the brand's positioning, voice, and designed a modern and timeless brand identity. We tackled packaging design for a long list of Mitica products across a variety of categories to create a cohesive, recognizable look. The result is sophisticated, yet approachable branding that’s as memorable as their food.
FOOD PACKAGING DESIGN
With Mitica and Forever Cheese products landing in a wide array of categories including cheese, nuts, specialty cakes and crackers, to name a few, it was important to build a packaging architecture with clear and simple information hierarchy that communicates to customers quickly.
We crafted strategic new branding with a look that enhances their brand recognition as a trusted authority in the specialty world, and can be spotted and recognized as a go-to household favorite by customers shopping in stores across the country.
We designed a custom wordmark that is bold and arresting. The new design feels fresh, while still being rooted in the authentic feel of extraordinary artisan treats from Europe. The primary color palette is inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean and each category or specific offering establishes a secondary hierarchy of color and information that feels delicious and distinguishes flavors.
Booming Sales Growth
Since launching the redesigned brand and packaging design at the New York Fancy Food Show, Mitica's sales have boomed. Relaunched products have been jumping off shelves, with sales increasing anywhere from 300 to 10,000(!!!)% within the first year.
The brand has cemented themselves as the first name in Mediterranean artisan foods and their products can be found in retail and online stores throughout the U.S. including popular retailers nationwide such as Whole Foods Market, Mollie Stone’s, Eataly, Kroger, and on the shelves of extraordinary specialty shops.
The brand's voice is rooted in passion and authenticity which encourages its audience to trust the well-traveled team in their great taste and expertise in bringing you only the best specialty products crafted in Europe. Every product Forever Cheese produces has a story, and their Mitica products are meant to bring joy and fun to their customers.
